Cookie Walk 2024

We will hold our 8th COOKIE WALK on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 11:00-1:00 p.m. (or until sold out).

This event has grown over the past eight years, and has evolved into a community event, where the school district’s teachers and staff as well as Trinity Presbyterian church parishioners and culinary students are baking cookies to contribute and helping run the event.  All for the benefit of children in the Scotia-Glenville school system in need of food.

What is a Cookie Walk?

Do you love homemade Christmas cookies, but don’t have the time to bake?  Well, a cookie walk is a large assortment of homemade cookies that prospective buyers browse, walking down a long table stacked high with cookies.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS: You choose an empty box, based on how many cookies you are planning on taking home, and are paired with a “Cookie Elf” to help place your selections in your box. Now it is time to take a walk through an array of beautiful holiday cookies that our bakers have handcrafted.  You tell your Cookie Elf how many of each type you want & fill your container with as many of your favorites as it can hold.

Please remember a few things – As tempting as it is, please, no sampling.  And second, we keep a separate section of cookies without nuts, so our friends with allergies are kept safe.  We recommend you walk around the display FIRST to make sure you see all the potential cookie options. We have heard many times –  “oh no – I’m only halfway through and my box is nearly full!” We are always glad to get you another box…
Once your selection is complete, we weigh your box.  Simply pay the cashier and you are off to your next holiday party!  Your box is now ready for giving, or keeping as a present for your sweet tooth.

We hope to see you at our Cookie Walk Fundraiser!

We never quite know what varieties of cookies will be available: that depends on the mood of our bakers. But all of your favorites are likely to be there. Pre-made trays and other gifts will also be available. (Priced as marked.)

Before you go, make sure to stop at our complimentary coffee, cocoa, and tea table and catch up with your friends (or make a new one) during this busy time of year.

Proceeds benefit the food distribution for the Weekend Backpack Program families Food Distribution serving the Scotia-Glenville School District, during school breaks.

Would you like to donate cookies to the Cookie Walk? Print out the COOKIE WALK BAKERS INSTRUCTIONS, and bring your cookies and donation sheet to the church by Friday, December 13, 2024. We couldn’t do this without our bakers, and we appreciate you so much! We would love if each parish family would make at least five pounds (a triple batch/12-15 dozen) of ONE TYPE of cookies so we will have a wonderful selection.
